Tentative Travel Itinerary

Tentative MAF Travel Plans:
Late August drive to BC
Early Mid September back to Alberta
Early Mid October heading to Saskatchewan and maybe Montana
Early January heading to Michigan and Indiana

We are looking forward to sharing the work of MAF with friends and family while in different parts of the country. We will be needing places to stay as we travel if you are able to help us in this way please let us know. Support has started to come in thank you for those that have sent in their support already. I would like to encourage others that are thinking about supporting our work through MAF to contact us or start sending in the support. The sooner we have the support the sooner we will start the next step towards heading to the field.

Blessings
From the Dole Family

Just Another Day in Paradise

One of my favorite songs is a country song titled "Just Another Day in Paradise". Through out the song a father is describing everything that is going wrong inside his house through out the day. And instead of being mad or wanting to run away he is actually describing it as a paradise. What a way to view are everyday lives! Just think of the day you could be having if we viewed our days like a paradise instead just seeing all the toys covering the floor and the mountain of laundry that is stacked up in the corner. This is the kind of view that I am trying to maintain through out the summer with Franklin home, Greg away flying, and that never ending stack of dirty dishes that just never seems to go away.

I love being a stay at home mom and could not have asked for a better family. And I thank God everyday that I'm living in paradise with my family daily. This past week end Greg and are family spoke at a fly-in breakfast and shared about the ministry of MAF. We got to see some really cool planes and meet some wonderful people at the sometime. Julie

7 More Weeks

Today marks 7 more weeks till I hang up my Instructor hat for a while. Our family will be hitting the road to raise the support MAF has asked us to raise. These next weeks will be filled with many hours of flying as we train 17 cadets in a entense 6 week course were the student comes with no licence to leaving at the end of 6 weeks with a Private Pilot Licence. I'm looking forward to the change knowing however that I will miss instructing. Greg

Finding Contentment among the Craziness

I remember thinking that when my children were toddlers that life would regain some balance once they grew older. All I had to do was just last until they were past the age of four and then my house would go from crazy to a sense of normal. Well reality has finally hit me and I realized that I shall never have a quiet or clean house until they all move out. Funny thing though, the craziness that use to drive me crazy a few years ago now actually almost seems normal. And who would have guessed that having children could prepare you for life on the mission field! My children have pushed, tested, and questioned my faith, strength, and abilities since the day they came home from the hospital. I thank God for them and how they have challenged me and have drawn me closer to God everyday of their lives.

You see it is through the craziness of our lives that we are learn to really rely on God and His strength to get us through the next hour. And it is God's strength that Greg and I have been relying on as we step into the craziness of learning how to be missionaries, figuring out all the paperwork, and trusting our family into His care. And even though there of been moments were we have felt completely overwhelmed at the task before us. God's still small voice is leading and directing us forward and providing strength to turn craziness into normal.

We ask for your prayers over the next couple days as we prepare to speak at a fly-in breakfast hosted by Harv's Air on Saturday June 26th. Greg is very excited about speaking and sharing but it is also a little hard for us since this will be are first major speaking event were we will not know most of the people. Also, praise that we raised almost $180 at our garage sale that will go towards our outgoing expense and that we are starting to receive monthly supporters for our work with MAF. So remember that among the craziness of your lives God is waiting to help you turn it into His version of normal for your lives.

Julie

God Bless You All!

The Journey

If you had informed me over twelve years ago that I would be married to a pilot and preparing to head over seas I would have laughed in your face. I was a shy girl who really only dreamed about things not actually lived them. However, here I am a wife, mother, missionary, and married to a pilot! That is why I titled this "the journey" because that is what God has been leading our family on these past years. And let me just share with you that it has been one amazing ride filled with ups, downs, and more surprises then you could ever imagaine. You see when you are willing to let go and allow God to direct your lives then anything is really possible. I found that even though the journey may be hard and sometimes filled with many questions God still had a purpuse for the journey.

My husband Greg and I have been accepted as pre-field missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) and are just about to start the dreaded part of being a missionary. FUNDRAISING!!!!! This part seems hard and long and filled with many challenges and sometimes just scary. However, God has always been faithful and has given us the strength to accomplish many task that at the time have seemed impossible at first. Greg loves to fly and can't wait to allow God to use his gift of flying to help those who are in such great need. Please come and join our journey as we prepare to raise support, travel arond the world, and share are own ups and down's with you.
